A basket of fairly regular shape, well made in the twining

 

style using willow and sumac, with simple geometric decoration in dyes of yellow and bold black, showing slight fading. The remainder of the basket may have at one time been dyed red, but now completely faded.

   
Condition: Very good condition, with a fine age patina. Some fading of
  original dyes.
