| Biography:
|
Friedrich Gornik was born in Austria and studied sculpture at the |
| |
Vienna School of Arts & Crafts. His first works were for
numerous Austrian porcelain manufacturers, consisting of mostly
small animals. After several years he started casting his pieces
in bronze. Gornik was fascinated by the cowboys and Indians of the
American west and produced a number of pieces depicting scenes from
American western folklore. His works were typically cast by the
Arthur Rubenstein foundry of Vienna. Gornik is considered an excellent
sculptor. His works are well regarded. |
